We took a quiet corner of Stodels nursery and filled it with the food we wanted to eat ourselves, great coffee, generous meals, and the kind of welcome you only get from a place that knows your name.

15 years in and our ethos hasn’t changed – we still bake the bread, slice the avocados ourselves, and keep an eye on the door for regulars. Tables fill up to the rhythm of the nursery: garden-shoppers, walking groups, parents on the slow side of school drop-off.
What’s grown is the menu. The garden seating. The dogs at the gate. But the core of munch – owner in the kitchen, food made fresh to order, no shortcuts – those have stayed put.
